The Coral Box -
This project is an experimental project, mainly discussing a new space constructing way and a more flexible way of combination in modular space design project.
The background of the project was based on the stressful medical working environment of contemporary chinese doctors. The design encourages different medical departments to DIY their own suitable rest room, by inserting a product which can let doctors decide their prefered functions and appearance of the rest room. The basic form of this space is inspired by 'coral', because it was hoped that doctors can be able to escape and rest shortly in the the space just like a fish hiding in the coral.

In order to provide a really confortable and relaxible place, a place where can help doctors to hide themself is really important.
Coral, as a suitable place for fish to have a rest, it may also be suitable to become an visual and constructral element in this project.
According to different possible activities doctors would like to do during the resting time in a hospital, I tested 4 kinds of forms of space using the appearance of different corals in the ocean.
4 types of colors(orange for chatting, green and blue for sleeping, purple for academic reading, and red for listening to the music) are chosen to perform 4 vibes.
flow lines are also available to be changed according to different arrangement.
